Operations Associate

Department: Investment Services Group

Description: The Operations Associate is responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of the Wealth Planning Group of the firm. He/she acts in the best interest of clients, the firm, and employees through a balance of diplomacy, and strict adherence to regulatory requirements. Duties include trading, reconciliation, form preparation, custodial and business partner contact. This role is critical to setting and maintaining high standards for the firm and for fostering a culture of efficiency, teamwork, and collaboration.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Client Focus

  • Manage client issues on administrative and operational matters
  • Respond to client requests for information
  • Gather relevant client information systematically and completely, including report preparation
  • Actively interact with custodian and other business partners to build effective relationships 

Organizational Focus

  • Support and drive the firm’s strategic initiatives
  • Review correspondence and communications
  • Communicate, implement, and ensure compliance with firm guidelines and policies
  • Ensure compliance with operational, legal, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure operational excellence and solve any issues that arise

Personal/Interpersonal Focus

  • Help educate employees on operational policies and procedures and risk management
  • Actively collaborate to solve problems, access resources, and accomplish important goals
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Promote good working relationships among team members
  • Prioritize time well and handle multiple demands and competing priorities

Job Requirements:

Industry/Business Experience

  • Financial Services or Customer Service experience/aptitude
  • Advent/Axys or Other Performance Management experience is a plus


  • College degree required

  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of financial markets and securities laws
